All Survivor Locations

Quick Answer

Find the named locations of Enshrouded craftspeople, assistants and villagers, follow the core rescue route, and identify the Ancient Researcher location gap.

Enshrouded survivors fall into three groups: Craftspeople, Assistants and Villagers. The checklists below cover 28 named survivors: 11 craftspeople, seven assistants and ten villagers. Named locations are available for 27 of them. Loraine Crim, the Ancient Researcher added with the 1.0 progression, has no confirmed rescue location here, so her entry remains explicitly unresolved.

For the early rescue route, start with the five core craftspeople in their Ancient Vaults: the Blacksmith north of the Cinder Vault, the Alchemist in western Springlands, the Hunter east of the Blacksmith's vault, the Carpenter in eastern Springlands and the Farmer in northern Springlands. The Collector is in Springlands Hollow Halls. Rescue survivors at their locations, then summon them at a Flame Altar base with the Summoning Staff.

The tables identify destinations rather than a fully verified route through every rescue. Use the named location and the active quest in your own world together. Do not infer coordinates, entrance directions or an Ancient Researcher route from an incomplete entry.

Find the craftspeople and specialist survivors

Craftspeople provide the main crafting services and important progression quests. The first five Ancient Vault rescues establish the early crafting branches; the specialist survivors extend the roster beyond those vaults.

Use the profession name to distinguish similarly styled Ancient Vaults. A single vault rescue does not unlock every craftsperson. For the specialist locations, match the survivor name and objective before treating any nearby NPC or room as the intended rescue.

Mei-Yin Chen's listed destination does not establish a permanent event schedule. Check the current world's availability before planning around seasonal wares. The Ancient Researcher is part of the expanded progression, but a name and profession do not establish where or how to rescue her; no map coordinate or entrance route is confirmed here.

Locate all seven crafting assistants

Assistants provide another instance of an existing crafting profession. They can offer the same crafting capabilities as their primary counterpart, making them useful when you want access at a second base location. Some also provide side quests, but an assistant is a separate survivor to find rather than another name for the original craftsperson.

Aunt BraelynCarpenter's AssistantHidden Temple
Galen YagerHunter's AssistantDraconian Vulture Nest
Fenrig Mills, Jr.Farmer's AssistantWolf Cave
Nameless OneCollector's AssistantDrak’Dal Temple
Chester LoftBard's AssistantCromville

Keep the assistant's location separate from the original profession's rescue. For example, Fanning Ranch is Rochelle Anders's destination, while Oswald Anders belongs to Ancient Vault — Blacksmith. Rescuing one should not be recorded as finding both entries.

Choose an assistant trip for the service or quest you need. After the rescue, use the summoning system to place the assistant where that extra crafting access is useful. Inspect the available dialogue and requirements instead of assuming the rescue immediately completes every associated side quest.

Find the ten villagers

Villagers live in the base as decorative residents and may provide side quests for additional items or cosmetics. They are part of the survivor roster, but they do not replace the crafting professions in the first two checklists.

Anton GodwinGateway Outpost "Drifa"
Gunther GaleforthBalefire Garrison "Windward"

Use the full location name, particularly for the named outposts and garrisons. Do not substitute another location merely because it shares the same structure type. Hugo Vanderhall's entry is identified only as Sun Temple here; a specific temple entrance or coordinate is not established.

Record each villager separately after the rescue. Similar surnames do not mean two villagers share a destination: Hannah and Marianne Reed have different listed locations, as do Oscar and Anton Godwin. Confirm the survivor's name through the rescue or summoning interface before marking that entry complete.

Follow the reliable core rescue route

The following sections retain the practical early route for the original craftspeople and the Collector. They provide more detail than the later-survivor location tables, without turning those named destinations into unverified step-by-step walkthroughs.

Rescue the Blacksmith first

The Blacksmith is the intended early rescue and the nearest core craftsperson to the opening area. Follow Find the Sleeping Survivor toward Ancient Vault — Blacksmith. Prepare a working weapon, recovery supplies and enough room to bring back the loot you collect along the route.

At the vault, find the survivor chamber and interact with the sleeping survivor to complete the rescue. This unlocks the ability to summon the survivor at home; you do not need to escort the NPC through the wilderness.

Return to a Flame Altar base and use the Summoning Staff. The early staff recipe unlocks through the Blacksmith rescue and uses a Twig. Select the survivor, place him in the base and inspect his available dialogue and crafting options.

The Blacksmith supports the smithing progression, including equipment and workshop development. Treat his follow-up quests as practical unlocks rather than assuming the rescue itself grants every later recipe. The next tool or station may still require materials, shelter or another quest step.

Find the Alchemist in western Springlands

The Alchemist's Ancient Vault is in the western Springlands. Activate the relevant rescue objective and plan the route from your current base or unlocked travel point. The destination belongs to the starting-region survivor network even though its later recipes use materials from much farther away.

Once rescued and summoned, the Alchemist provides the magical and consumable crafting branch. Potions, staff charges and the progression toward alchemical equipment make this survivor useful even if your character primarily fights with melee or ranged weapons.

Check both the survivor's quests and workshop requirements when a recipe is missing. A rescued Alchemist is the beginning of that crafting chain, not proof that every Mortar, Alchemy Station or Laboratory recipe is already ready to use.

The Hollow Halls quest progression is also connected to this survivor and the wider core group. If the next dungeon objective is unavailable, inspect the other survivor rescues and associated quests before searching for an unrelated entrance shortcut.

Find the Hunter east of the Blacksmith's vault

The Hunter, Athalan Skree, is located east of the Blacksmith's vault. Use that known vault as an orientation point when checking the map, then follow the actual Hunter rescue objective rather than walking east indefinitely without a marker.

The Hunter supports ranged equipment, arrows and the textile or leather crafting branch. That makes the rescue relevant to more than bow damage: clothing materials and survival equipment can connect to several later projects.

Bring the movement tools required by the route you are using and prepare to work through the vault's own challenges. This page identifies the survivor location; it does not substitute a guessed sequence for the vault's puzzle. Read the current objective, inspect the room and solve the visible route to the survivor chamber.

After the rescue, return home, summon Athalan and check the available crafting and dialogue. If a later leather or textile item is still blocked, inspect the corresponding station and quest chain instead of returning to the empty vault expecting another rescue interaction.

Reach the Carpenter in eastern Springlands

The Carpenter, Cade Hawthorn, is in the eastern Springlands. This rescue expands the building and furnishing side of the base and leads into useful tools such as the Table Saw and Masonry Tools through the broader crafting progression.

Cade Hawthorn the Carpenter

Prepare for combat on the rescue route. Reaching a vault icon does not mean the survivor can be collected without dealing with the area around it. Repair equipment and check recovery supplies before making the trip so a long approach does not end at a fight you were unprepared to finish.

Once summoned, inspect the Carpenter's quests before planning a large construction project. Many desirable recipes depend on additional tools or processed materials. Magic storage upgrades and later movement equipment also make this survivor useful beyond purely decorative building.

Keep enough space in the workshop for the new branch. A compact shelter with room to interact is more useful at this stage than a crowded display of stations you cannot comfortably reach. Add the required tools as they unlock, then verify the intended recipe from the survivor's menu.

Rescue the Farmer in northern Springlands

The Farmer, Emily Fray, is in the northern Springlands. Follow the Farmer vault objective and prepare for its traversal and puzzle requirements. If you can reach the location but cannot complete a movement section, inspect the available anchors, climbing surfaces and your equipped tools before assuming the survivor requires a distant biome unlock.

The Farmer provides the farming and food-production branch. This supports a repeatable supply of useful consumables rather than depending only on whatever you happen to loot during exploration. It also gives builders another reason to leave practical room around the settlement for production.

After the rescue, summon Emily and inspect the quests and crafting options currently available. A farm recipe may still depend on a particular resource, processing setup or stage of the survivor's progression. Work from the requirement shown by the recipe instead of treating every unavailable crop or food as a failed rescue.

Plan the first farming project around a need you already have. A small working supply chain is easier to understand than collecting every possible seedling before the basic crafting dependencies are clear.

Reach the Collector after the core group

The Collector, Alden Crowley, is found at the end of Springlands Hollow Halls. This is a different kind of rescue from the early Ancient Vault visits and belongs after the core survivor progression and its relevant quests.

Alden Crowley the Collector

Inspect the Alchemist's Hollow Halls-related objectives once the core craftspeople and their prerequisite tasks are in place. If the dungeon quest has not appeared, check the missing survivor or quest condition first. Finding the name of the Collector does not bypass the progression that leads to the rescue.

Prepare for a dungeon visit rather than a quick surface pickup. Bring functioning combat equipment, recovery supplies and enough inventory room for the run. The rescue lies at the end, so reaching the entrance is only the beginning of the task.

Once rescued, summon the Collector at the base and inspect the specialized crafting branch. This includes mystical or dark furnishings and other recipes outside the original five professions. Keep the current quest and workshop requirements in view when a desired item remains unavailable.

Summon, shelter and continue the survivor chain

Rescue and placement are separate steps. A survivor freed in the world becomes available through the summoning system; the useful crafting relationship begins after you place that survivor at a suitable Flame Altar base.

Provide shelter and inspect the current accommodation or bed requirement. A survivor standing outside in an exposed part of the base may not offer the expected working state. Use the current dialogue and interface to identify what is missing before rebuilding the entire house.

After placement, talk to the survivor again. New quests, tools and stations often drive the next crafting unlock. If a recipe is absent, check progression; if it is visible but blocked, inspect the named ingredients and workshop requirement.

For the assistants, villagers and specialists in the checklists, use the quest journal and available map markers in your current world to confirm the rescue objective. The listed destination identifies where to look; it does not prove every entrance, prerequisite or seasonal availability. Keep Loraine Crim’s location unresolved until a reliable rescue location is available.

Keep rescues tied to the correct world

Survivor availability belongs to world progression. Joining a different world with an experienced character does not automatically make all previously rescued craftspeople summonable there. Your character can retain gear and levels while the destination world still needs its own rescues.

For a shared group, coordinate the next rescue and inspect which craftspeople already exist at the base. Avoid duplicating a long trip because one player did not know another had completed the objective. The practical checklist is simple: correct world, active survivor objective, rescue confirmed, survivor summoned and the next crafting requirement inspected.
